Alexander Charles Robinson, American (b. Portsmouth, NH 1867- d. Paris, 1940).
This exquisite watercolor is in superb untouched condition. The tonal qualities of a farmer on winter day by the shore are extraordinary.

He was a member of many watercolor clubs and societies throughout the U.S. and Europe including the New York Watercolor Club, the Philadelphia Watercolor Club, The Society of Artists Coloniale in Paris, and the United Artists Club, in London, to name a few.
